And make this wet bath for him after the emplaister; and scour the body with water wherein an entire fox is boiled until its flesh separate from the bones; and with rue and flagflower, and caroway, and peony, herb of paralysis and vervain. Then let the horn628 be still frequently applied to the roots of the nerves, and finally a little wine, hot, may be given, and let the member be raised and rubbed often with the hand, and hap it up well in the skin of a fox or with other skins(?).629
