These are the symptoms of this sickness, as regards its prognosis:—blue black colour538 of the face, swelling, and disorderly movements, for these things are proper thereto.539 Item if he be morbid,540 eating much, and have a voracious desire to eat more, say things that are not comely, and expel his spittle constantly, it is a sign of death; and more especially if there be cold sweat on the face and neck. If these signs do not appear, it is certain he can be cured.
