degrees to them who are weakened by330 inanition, not by repletion; for they err who give wine, and sweet-smelling things internally to people suffering from heart-weakness and loss of force through distention; so food should not be given in every weakness called syncope, for there is more need of purging by clysters and vomiting and abstinence, and to cure them by rubbing and by bandaging the extremities.331
