Cardiaca is a tremulous movement of the heart, praeter naturam which is caused by fear, or compression, or depression.242 The cardiaca that is called syncope is a movement243 whereby motion and sensation are removed from the body for the greater part, through weakness of the heart; and syncope is synonymous with little death.
