Cormac sent hosts against the Dessi, who were routed in seven battles under the leadership of Oengus and his brother's sons, to wit, Russ and Eogan. To the end of forty days Oengus was king after Brecc, and then every man murmurs, for they could not endure the combined power of the prince and the champion together.
