One day, when Saint Colum Cille (Columba) had come in a chariot to the plain where Fintán was, [he] told his charioteer:
‘Get down and bring the fair boy to my chariot’.
And Columba asked:
‘Whose boy is this’?
And he was told:
‘He is the son of Tulchán’.
Then Columba exclaimed:
‘My great little man! Thanks to him, Tulchán will be a famous man’.
