I 7 (6). After he had spent a long time there—some say forty years,

others say thirty—his faithful friend of old, named Victorious, who had foretold him everything as it was to happen when he was a slave in Ireland, came to him frequently in visions and told him the time had come for him to go out and fish with the net of the Gospel the wild and alien people to whom God had sent him as a teacher; and there it was said to him in a vision: ‘The sons and daughters of the Wood of Fochloth are calling you’, etc.
