The emperor Theodosius came to the end of his life, as Marcellinus affirms. Marcianus succeeded him as emperor, as Marcellinus states.
From this Theodosius Bologna, obtained the privilege of having a studium generale. He began his reign in AD 425 and ruled 27 years. On this see the gloss on the Clementinae, i.e. de magistris at the word Bononiensis.
