Celedonia: and it is hot and dry in the fourth degree; take this herb with its flower, extract the juice from it, mix this juice with the same amount of honey through it, boil it in a bronze vessel on a gentle fire, take the froth off it carefully, press it through a linen cloth, and put it in a bronze vessel for safe keeping; if it be put on the eyes, it will sharpen the vision well. Item, if this herb be pounded and put on the teeth in which there is pain, it will help them.
