Notes

The first three quatrains below were edited by Kuno Meyer in ZCP 1, preceding those beginning 'Cethrur do-raega ní dalb' from ZCP 3. Together, they are regarded as part of one poem of 50 quatrains, catalogued by Brian Ó Cuív under the title 'A Dé dúlig adateoch'. The remaining 10 quatrains of the poem are available on CELT as file G202010 and the colophon which accompanies the version of the poem in Laud Misc. 610, f. 46a2, is available as G100061.

The editor's corrections are marked corr sic resp="KM", with the erroneous form retained in the 'sic' attribute. Editorial expansions are marked ex. Text in English/German is indicated.

A Dé dúlig adateoch: Author: Airbertach Mac Cosse

Das lange Poem, von Mac Cosse und zwar im Jahre 982 (siehe Vers 34 u. 36) verfasst, dessen einleitendes Gebet A Dé dúlig adateoch &c. ich im ersten Bande dieser Zeitschrift auf S. 497 abgedruckt habe. Es enthält zunächst den versifizierten Psalmenkommentar, aus dem ebenda schon einiges mitgeteilt ist. Ich lasse ihn hier vollständig folgen:
