Project Description

CELT: Corpus of Electronic Texts

Sampling Declaration

The French translation is from Revue Celtique and comprises the editor's corrections from volume 44, p. 169–176, encoded using corr sic tags. In some cases explanatory matter accompanying the corrections, but not forming part of the translation, was included in footnotes. The Irish original and an English translation will be made available in separate files. 'Rhetorics' were left untranslated.

Editorial Declaration

Correction

Text has been proof-read twice.

Normalization

The electronic text represents the edited text including Sjoestedt's corrections using corr sic="". Obvious typos in introduction and text have been corrected silently at CELT. An attempt has been made to render the poems in verse form, though separating the French translation into lines according to the Irish verse has its limitations.

Quotation

Quotations are rendered q.

Hyphenation

When a hyphenated word (hard or soft) crosses a page-break, the page-break is marked after the completion of the hyphenated word (and punctuation).

Segmentation

div0=the tale.

Interpretation

Names of persons (given names) are not tagged in the main text, but in the introduction.

Canonical References

This text uses the DIV1 element to represent the section.
