Olof Rudbeck the Elder, or Olaus Rudbeckius (1630–1702), a Swedish scientist, linguist and writer, professor of medicine and author of the treatise Atlantis (Atland eller Manheim). in which he argued that Sweden was Atlantis and Swedish the language of the bible. He was criticized and satirized by other linguists for this.
